How to Compare PDF Versions
Use text and rendered-page differences to review two PDF versions.
Text comparison
Text comparison extracts readable text from each PDF and reports additions or removals. Scanned PDFs may contain little extractable text unless OCR has been applied.
Visual comparison
Visual comparison renders matching pages and compares pixels. Small rendering or antialiasing changes can produce differences even when the semantic content is similar.
Page counts
If one version contains extra pages, those pages should be reported rather than silently ignored.
